On Thursday we will be at the Pavillion Bar on the Ormeau Road and on Sunday we will be playing at the Empire for OxJam 2008. So folks get your cotton socks on and come along. Also keep posted for some live video footage of Jackson Cage at rehearsal and live over the coming weeks.

Jackson Cage will be recording a session for the new UTV show "Live @ the Limelight" on September 28th. The show, which aims to promote the best of new Irish music will air nationwide in Ireland in the autumn. Jackson Cage are looking forward to the opportunity of showcasing our music to a wider audience and we thank UTV for inviting us to take part.

Dec, Marty and Keith sat in on George Jones' U105 drivetime show this afternoon. George spun a track and talked music with the lads. Dec gave a rousing live performance of "Taste the Moon", that went down well.
On the gigging front, we are booked in to play another gig at Old Dan Tuckers in Ardara on 29th August. For those that can make it, its going to be a fantastic night. There'll be plenty of great music and craic. It'll be a mighty session.
I was recently asked if we are going to release a single from the album. Well, given the radio play A Hard Night (in the Kitchen) is receiving, I guess by default this is the first single from the Jackson Cage album.

Jackson Cage received a great review from Twang Nation. To paraphrase, "Jackson Cage exhibit Springsteen's knack for narrative but only inasmuch as he was willing to channel Dylan, Woody Guthrie and The Band to tell a compellingly stark tale." Pretty cool methinks.
Jackson Cage also receive a glowing review on McLean's Country. The band are again likened to Bruce, The Band, Dylan and Van. They went on to liken us to the Last Waltz, what fantastic compliments, thanks guys. We also managed to get our iTunes (worldwide) release this week, so all you iTunes lovers can find us there now. For all the folks in the USA who are continuing to keep us on the Amazon MP3 bestselling Americana download list, thanks a million folks.
